Who handles your information
The Way Back is operated by A V D SILVA as an individual, not a registered company. We provide branding, packaging design files, and web/app design and build. Contact: buildthewayback@gmail.com or fegpotlk@gmail.com.
What we use
For enquiries, we use the name, email, brief and any budget or reference details you submit to understand your request and respond. Submitting a brief does not book a project. For private project access, we use account details and project membership. Project records include the agreed scope, messages, feedback, approvals and delivery records. We use these to do the work, provide support and keep an accurate project record. We also keep account roles and relevant activity timestamps for security and administration. Only authorised studio access and the members of the relevant project should see private project information. We do not publish private work as a case study without agreed permission.
Browser storage and security
Browser storage remembers theme preferences, referral details, form prefill, sign-in state and seen-message timestamps. A static site cache helps pages load; it does not cache private account pages or API responses. Google Firebase handles sign-in and Cloudflare Turnstile helps check requests for abuse. Providers may process IP addresses, browser details and security signals. No advertising or analytics trackers are installed on this site.
Providers and data location
Cloudflare hosts the site and handles request/security checks. Google Firebase handles sign-in and project records. The current project database is in us-east4, United States. These providers can process information outside your country. Their notices explain their processing: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/ . Contact us for the provider details that apply to your project. File uploads are not open yet. PayPal handles payment details and provides transaction references, payer information and payment status for project records. Card details stay with PayPal. Studio Gmail alerts contain submitted enquiry details or the project title, a short message preview and reference IDs so we can respond. Private uploads, when opened, will be stored through Supabase. We will update this notice before adding another use of your information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information while responding and following up. We keep account and project records while needed for the work, access and support. Payment, agreement and delivery evidence may need to remain longer for record-keeping or a genuine dispute. We assess older records for deletion or removal of identifying details when no longer needed. There is no automatic deletion schedule at present.
Your choices
Contact either email above to ask for access, correction, a copy or deletion of your information. We verify that the request is yours and explain anything we need to retain. Requests are handled manually; disabling an account is not deletion. We do not use acceptance of project terms as permission for unrelated marketing. Basic contact and project information is needed to respond and carry out the work. Optional details are your choice. This studio policy does not limit rights that cannot be excluded.
Security and changes
We use account and project access controls, but no online system is risk-free. We will date updates and explain material changes in how we use information.
